A brief biography (Le français suit):
In 1977, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with Distinction from Mount Allison University, Sackville, NB. I have also completed my Master of Fine Arts degree (2014) from the Lesley University College of Art and Design (formerly the Art Institute of Boston, Cambridge, MA). Honors include the MFA Alumni Award and the Sheila Hugh MacKay Master of Fine Arts Scholarship.
Nominated for the 2023 Sheila Hugh Mackay Award in Visual Arts, I have shown my work in Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Manitoba, Iceland and the USA, in 30 solo exhibitions and 31 group shows between 1975 and 2025. Artist residencies have inspired me to create different series of work and I have been fortunate to receive numerous grants and awards over the years.
In 2021, “Vanitas Vivace”, a short, animated film produced in collaboration with Peter de Niverville (director-animator) and Abigail de Niverville (composer) premiered at the FLIGHT / Mostra Internazionale di Genova, International Film Festival in Genoa, Italy. This experimental has also been shown at the Silver Wave Film Festival, Fredericton, NB (2021) and the FIN Atlantic International Film Festival, Halifax, NS (2022).
I continue to take part in professional peer juries and to participate in cultural organizations. My teaching experience includes undergraduate courses in the Département des arts visuels (en français) at the Université de Moncton, NB. I live and maintain a studio in Riverview, NB.

En 1977, j’ai obtenu un baccalauréat en beaux-arts avec distinction de l’Université Mount Allison, à Sackville, au Nouveau-Brunswick. J’ai également obtenu une maîtrise en beaux-arts (2014) du Lesley University College of Art and Design (anciennement l’Art Institute of Boston, Cambridge, MA). Nommée pour le prix Sheila Hugh Mackay 2023 en arts visuels, j’ai présenté mon travail au Canada atlantique, en Ontario, au Manitoba, en Islande et aux États-Unis, dans 30 expositions individuelles et 31 expositions de groupe entre 1975 et 2025. Les résidences d’artistes m’ont inspiré pour créer différentes séries d’œuvres et j’ai eu la chance de recevoir de nombreuses subventions et récompenses au fil des ans.
En 2021, « Vanitas Vivace », un court métrage d’animation produit en collaboration avec Peter de Niverville (réalisateur-animateur) et Abigail de Niverville (compositeur) a été présenté en première au FLIGHT / Mostra Internazionale di Genova, Festival international du film de Gênes, en Italie. Ce film expérimental a également été présenté au Silver Wave Film Festival, Fredericton, NB (2021) et au FIN Atlantic International Film Festival, Halifax, NS (2022).
Je continue à participer à des jurys de pairs professionnels et à participer à des organisations culturelles. Mon expérience en enseignement comprend des cours de premier cycle au Département des arts visuels (en français) de l’Université de Moncton (N.-B.). Je vis et j’ai un studio à Riverview, au Nouveau-Brunswick.
